remove the mask

ALWAYS BE AUTHENTIC. Don't pretend to be what you are not. Be your genuine self... flaws and all! Take off your mask and let the world see YOU. There are so many people walking around pretending. I always wonder why that is. Why have fake hair, eyelashes, all the cosmetics, designer clothes, and filters on your pictures? Why not just be your true RAW self? What's wrong with the way we are? We follow society's standards on what is right and in trend now. Who cares? There is nothing wrong with having or wanting nice things. Or even improving your looks. But to do it to the extent because someone said we should or we may not like how we look. Don't you think it would be boring if we all looked alike? Paper doll cut outs exactly the same. We each have a uniqueness that truly defines us. Why not let those parts shine? Just think... if we accepted ourselves as is, the world would be a better place. There would be no jealousy, envy, or strife. People would accept each other as they are. I am not just talking about looks, I am also inserting our personality, traits and characteristics. You know that aquiline nose that you inherited from your great grandmother. Or those ears that you think look like Dumbo or even Dopey. What about those feet! You look at them like you are big foot! Or how about the hyena laugh that you try to muffle for fear you might scare people away. Maybe the way you show enthusiasm and talk a mile a minute. There are just so many things I could cover, but I believe you get the gist of all of this. If we just stripped ourselves clean of all that hinders us, we would be so FREE! Can you imagine being unencumbered by all that holds us back? Gosh! What a huge sigh of relief that would be for us. No more walking around on eggshells for fear someone will judge us wrongfully. No more spending crazy amounts of money on things just to improve our looks. No more caring about what anyone thinks on how we look, talk, and act (as long as we are not causing harm, or ill intent in our actions). So let go of everything that is holding you back and reveal the real you. I promise you will not regret it. It may seem strange at first and very unnerving. But the empowerment you will get cannot be matched. Let your guard down and your hair. Watch how your life takes a new trajectory into the stratosphere. You will wonder why you never done this sooner. My motto is it's better late than never and you know what? It's never too late to begin anew.
